If you get an abnormal reading , even with the effect of normal voice, your
device may not be able to record properly in mono . to eliminate this possibility, in the application, try to select the stereo 44100 (or 22050 stereo ) recording mode via Menu-> Prefs

NOTE: When recording , try using different recording volume levels (see for the recording volume control in the application ) to find levels that work best for your device. Level 1 default recording may not be optimal for your device , you may need to play with this setting to get good recordings ..
If you hear static excessive during playback, try lowering your recording volume and make a new recording using this setting the recording volume lower
TROUBLESHOOTING
If you are unable to record audio using this app , try the following :
CHECK 1: Speak into the microphone close up
cHECK 2: Raise the speaker volume on your phone / device
check 3 : Raise the recording volume from application
Control 4 . Also, if you have a Bluetooth headset and you are not able to record audio or just get static , disable bluetooth headset and see if that solves the problem

check 5: from within the application, try to select a different audio recording speed , via Menu -> Pref. Rate audio recording supported: 44100 stereo , stereo 22050 , 11025 stereo , mono 44100 , 22050 mono, mono 11025 , stereo 48000 , 48000 mono , mono 8000 . Depending on your device , only a subset of these registration rates may be available for you
